Kristin Asbjørnsen Ensemble and Ladysmith Black Mambazo at Molde Intern. Jazz Festival

Kristin Asbjørnsen Ensemble will do the opening concert at the Molde International Jazz Festival together with the legendary isicathamiya-ensemble Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

The music will be based on Kristin’s interpretations of African American spirituals and the concert will be a reunion: In 2010 Kristin was featuring Ladysmith Black Mambazo on their accapella “Back to eKasi” township tour around South Africa (produced by Mmino).

At Molde Jazz Festival Ladysmith Black Mambazo will for the first time participate in Kristin Asbjørnsen Ensemble. Together with: Olav Torget – guitars/vocals, Gjermund silset double bass/electric bass/vocals, Rune Arnesen – drums, Anders Engen – guitars/vocals/perc, David Solheim – sound, Tor Ditlevsen – light.
